* The color of the metal is achieved with black rhodium plating, a surface treatment that will wear off in time revealing the underlying metal. If these earrings are worn daily the plating can wear off fairly quickly, revealing the silver and leaving a nice patina. The deeper and more textured areas will remain darker.
